Privacy Policy

AppendX is designed around a simple principle: your data is your data. The app captures text and URLs from your share sheet and appends them to files you control. That's it.

What we collect

Nothing.

AppendX does not collect analytics, usage data, crash reports, or any other information from your device or your files. There are no servers. There is no database with your information in it.

Where your data goes

Text and URLs you capture are written directly to files in your iCloud Drive or on-device storage — folders you choose, files you control. AppendX writes to these files using standard Apple APIs (NSFileCoordinator). The data never passes through any server we operate.

iCloud

If you use iCloud Drive storage, your files sync according to Apple's iCloud policies. AppendX uses Apple's standard iCloud Drive APIs to read and write files. We have no access to files stored in your iCloud account. Apple's privacy policy governs iCloud storage.

In-app purchases

AppendX offers optional tip jar purchases ($0.99, $4.99, $19.99) processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment information and do not store any purchase data. Apple's App Store privacy policy governs these transactions.

Third-party SDKs

None. AppendX uses only Apple's standard frameworks — no analytics SDKs, no crash reporting tools, no advertising libraries.

Children's privacy

AppendX does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Because we collect no information from anyone, this is inherently satisfied.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the effective date above and note the change in the App Store release notes.
